Review: WARNING TO POTENTIAL SONO BELLO CLIENTS! Sono Bello has a horrible business practice which required me to make a $2,500 deposit prior to my discussion with the surgeon. I went to Sono Bello because I was interested in fat removal from my abdomen. During my initial meeting with the Sono Bello sales associate, she informed me that I would not need skin removal in addition to the fat removal. Because of what she told me, I agreed to move forward and made my $2,500 deposit. However, at my next appointment for the pre-op with the surgeon, she told me that I would not get the results I was looking for without the skin removal. This was in direct contradiction with what the sales associate initially told me when she required my $2,500 deposit. At this point, I no longer trusted Sono Bello, so I opted not to move forward with any procedure. I was told that Sono Bello would not refund any of my deposit, which is a total rip-off.There have been two other instances where I had plastic surgery in Washington, DC, and in both instances, I was able to discuss the surgery WITH THE SURGEON PRIOR to making a financial commitment. That should be Sono Bello's business practice. Unfortunately for the client, it is not. It would be reasonable to charge a fee for the initial sales associate consultation and the time spent with the doctor. However, to charge $2,500 for basically two hours of conversation is ridiculous. I should have been refunded $2,000 with Sono Bello keeping $500 of the total amount for the time that was spent with me. Therefore, my warning to potential Sono Bello clients is DO NOT commit to anything financially until you have spoken to the surgeon, so that you have all the information (and not conflicting information) that you need to make the right decision for yourself. Sono Bello needs to revise its business practices so that they are fair to the client.
